Leonardo Royal Hotel Oxford

Good facilities - gym, pool (which is small and water very warm, but usable), clean and comfortable room. We had a free upgrade to an executive room on arrival, which was nice although not something we'd have paid for - it's a business hotel, the rooms are functional rather than stylish. Breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel in some years - excellent choice, high quality ingredients, even pretty decent coffee. Parking - like many hotels these days - is charged for, although not expensive at £6/day, and provided the security of barrier controlled entry and exit.

Family room was great, spa/swimming pool needed booking - children were loved warm pool. Breakfast was lovely and stuff was friendly and attentive

Lovely little extras like coffee/tea, fridge and bottled water in the room. And a list of "if you forgot...." they bought to the room ..for us it was toothpaste! Appreciated when we asked could we extend our departure time by half an hour, they said an extra hour was no problem.

The hotel was in a good location- just off the motorway and about 15 minutes in the bus into the city centre. The reception and restaurant were inviting and modern.

The warm welcome. Brendan D’souza, Manager was just fantastic in his customer service. May I add the reception staff, Namely Saira, the lovely Sudanese/Egyptian lady(Sorry can’t recall name) were so very charming. Thank you
